Conceptinformatie
Definitie
- Dance rattle of the Pokomo people of the coastal region of Kenya. To make the Msewe, small vessel rattles are made in a large number and painted in red, blue, green, natural, and then sewn on a chord. When they are made, they are still green, the maker dries them in the sun before putting on the chord. They are wound around the leg three times, like a snake. The length of the rattle depends on the size of the leg.
