Definitie
- Gwea, the frets, are little piece of wood attached to the body and supports strings. The gwea is different from anjok, the moveable bridges, in its usage. Its size and shape are different depending on the instrument types, but most of the times, they are rectangular wood piece. They are attached on the soundbox and below the strings. The geomungo, hyangbipa, dangbipa, wolgeum, and yanggeum have the frets which enable the musicians push and pull the strings.
