Concept information
Définition
- The dangjeok is a transverse wind instrument with one mouth hole and seven finger holes on top of the pipe. The seventh finger hole is not closed by the fingers. The term "dang" is a prefix put in the name to differentiate with indigenous instrument like daegeum, junggeum, and sogeum. The dangjeok is also called sogeum in the present because they two are the same.
