Definition
- A seasonal, polish folk instrument, made in the spring; would become porous and unplayable when it dried out; formerly a signal instrument (used by shepherds), often played by children, nowadays sometimes made as a music toy; body made from a spirally rolled piece of willow bark, fastened with a thorn ('przetyczka'); it should have a double reed ('bekas'), also made of willow bark, in the inlet
