Concept information
Definition
- The sanjo ajaeng is a modified instrument with eight strings which was made in the twentieth century. It is smaller and has a straight body at the tail part different from a bit larger traditional ajaeng with a bent body at the tail. An extra resonating board is attached on the body, and the bow is made of horse hair, not the wood stick.
