Concept information

打击乐器 > 鼓类 > Soribuk

Preferred term

Definition

  • The soribuk looks same as the yonggo in its shape and size except for the dragon painting. Instead of using ropes to pull and to strech skin of the both drum heads, metal tacks fix the skin on the body. Different from the yonggo, the drum is put on the floor and the heads face left and right. The drummer most of the time uses it to accompany pansori and always plays it sitting on the floor.
