Link to MIMO collections
Définition
- One or more strings are stretched between fixed points. The string bearer and the resonator are organically united and cannot be separated without destroying the instrument. The plane of the strings lies at right angles to the sound-table; a line joining the lower ends of the strings would point towards the neck. The harp has a pillar. It is tuned chromatically. There is no mechanism to alter the tuning of the harp while it is played. Most of the older chromatic harps. (en)
