Definición

  • An individual drum with a tubular body consisting of a cylindrical upper section and a conical lower section. It is enclosed at one end by a single tightly stretched membrane and the opposite end is open. Sometimes the foot is flared. The membrane is directly struck by the player using the hands or intermediate devices such as sticks. (en)
