Definition

  • Continuously varying electrical signals are passed to a loudspeaker to produce sound. The electrical signals are generated using electronic circuitry. Configurations containing analogue fully electronic devices used to produce, process and communicate electronic sound signals and/or sequences of signals with solid state circuitry (transistor and/or analogue integrated circuitry) generating and/or processing electric sound signals. These pre-set devices use subtractive synthesis to play only one note at a time. (en)
