Definition

  • Sets of drums with tubular bodies consisting of a cylindrical upper section and a conical lower section. Each drum body is enclosed at one end by a single tightly stretched membrane, and the opposite end is open. The membranes are directly struck by the player using the hands or intermediate devices such as sticks. (en)
